We Are Fooled as Europe Burns

Europe is burning, destroyed by young people from different cultures and backgrounds. It would be too easy to blame the foreigners who have arrived in recent years, but perhaps that is exactly what is intended. In my work, I encounter quite a lot of foreigners who have come from all corners of the world. Africa, South America, and the Arab countries are regions that have continued to provide Europe with a workforce over the years. Guess what? Most of them are hardworking people who pay their taxes and serve the communities they are part of. So why is there an attempt to create an anti-foreigner movement? Why is there a desire for extremist parties to gain more and more power? When we don't know who is behind something, we only need to ask ourselves who stands to benefit the most from it. Daddy Putin. This former KGB agent and puppet master has the most to gain.
Do you think Brexit was just a coincidence in the history of the UK? Do you think Russia has covertly propagated these anti-EU sentiments, as it has been doing for years, ever since it learned from Georgia and Ukraine in 2014? A strong and united European Union is Putin's greatest nightmare. The financial and military balance tips against Russia. Think about the absurdity of the current situation: 450 million Europeans are asking 300 million Americans to protect them from 150 million Russians. Why?
Probably because if Europe were to fall apart and each country became individualistic, the situation would be much more agreeable for the Kremlin. When I was in high school and we were trying to program in Turbo Pascal, we learned things like Divide et impera. Today, it's the same thing, except that instead of the problem being mathematical, the problem has become geopolitical. All the years Putin spent as a KGB agent in Germany during the Soviet era give him a unique advantage that no other dictator has. First of all, whatever we may personally think of him, we have to acknowledge that he is most likely very well trained professionally. He was probably someone who loved his job and was actually good at it. And what job did he do back then? Deception, espionage, secret police, assassinations perhaps? Exactly what is happening in Europe today with hybrid warfare. General attacks against the population and infrastructure, or industrial espionage, carried out in such a way that nobody can say with 100% certainty that Russia is behind the attacks. After all, how are you supposed to prove that even though the IP address from which European banks are being hacked is located in Russia, the person behind it is not simply a private individual? After all, the Russian authorities are surely trying to catch him and bring him to justice, aren't they? How are you supposed to prove that the drones that end up in the Black Sea come from Russia? Or even if you can prove that, how can you prove they did it intentionally? It could simply be an aircraft that lost its bearings in an unfortunate incident of collateral damage.
Look at European cities: Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Milan. Belgium is burning too. France has always had a problem with local crime and suffers repeated waves of destruction like these. The "revolutionary" cycles seem to repeat themselves every few years, most likely driven by dissatisfied citizens from former French colonies. The problem France faces, however, is twofold. First of all, all those who break the law are now French citizens, either by birth or by having acquired citizenship over time. Secondly, France is a country that is judicially impotent. It is afraid to take tough measures and increase criminal penalties. Under the banner of liberté, égalité... wrongdoers often have more rights than those who obey the law. I read about such a case some time ago in Paris, where a squatter illegally occupied an apartment. Although the owner had no access to his own home for years because the court refused to evict the squatter for health reasons and because of the cold winter weather, he found himself appearing in court to face charges of causing injury. Apparently, the squatter, in the apartment he was illegally occupying, fell from the balcony when the balcony collapsed. The owner was accused of failing to maintain his own property to the required standards. Episodes like these happen every day, and moments like these push the population to its limits.
France is impotent. That's the reality. The French people are hardworking, kindhearted, and have an incredible sense of community, and they too are being held hostage by their own system. And even if more people were tried and convicted, the judicial system has nowhere to put them. The prisons are full. And juvenile delinquency is flourishing. Young people as young as ten know that the police can't do much to them. Most often, they are released and prosecuted in vain. One of the tactics used by drug traffickers is to use minors, knowing that they are immune before the law.
In Italy, in Milan, there have been scenes similar to those seen everywhere in Western Europe. Giorgia Meloni's response, however, in trying to reduce free legal aid for defendants, making vandals or their parents pay for the damage, and "unleashing" the army onto the streets, is a breath of fresh air. It is so refreshing to see a European leader getting tougher and trying to defend European values, values that we all stand together in solidarity for.
And so we return to a simple question: why is all this happening now? Everything has to do with Trump. He is primarily responsible for this. Do you remember the good old days when America actually stood for something on the world stage? When American values promoted democracy and freedom, and when America was a superpower? Well, this little idiot has managed to destroy in two years what others before him built over centuries. Putin is intensifying his attacks on Europe because he feels he has a free hand. It is clear to all of us that NATO no longer exists as an alliance. We don't even need to lie to ourselves. Furthermore, even if America wanted to support Europe militarily in a direct conflict, it wouldn't be capable of doing so. Between the troops and military equipment withdrawn from Europe and Asia, and the material losses in Iran, it is in no position to do anything militarily.
Trump is approaching the midterms, so his end is near. Most likely, the Democrats will regain control of the country, and Trump will lose much of the power he currently holds. Dictatorial power. It would be something to see him accused in a few years of raping children in the Epstein files and to see his entire family accused of corruption. But until then, we are left with today. And today is still gray. The sun doesn't seem to be rising yet. Putin is trying to politically divide and fragment Europe. Ideally, with far-right parties that are favorable to him. Nothing would be better than for the European Union to fall apart and for each country to become individualistic again. Divide and conquer on another scale.
So you see, I believe that what we are experiencing today is nothing more than the Kremlin's manipulations, the manipulations of a man who has spent years doing exactly this, and who is professionally trained in it. A man who is trying to strengthen right-wing parties in Europe that will be permissive toward him. After all, everything is hybrid. The people revolted on their own in France and Italy, and they themselves voted for their own heads of state. After all, it's not his fault if Europe decides to hand Ukraine over to him and start buying his gas again.
In the end, I can only add:
" Dear Trump, Dear Putin... fuck you both! Slava Ukraini!
With love from France. "
