"Send to Kindle" From the Web

A couple of days ago, I happened upon a wonderful application for my web browser. But I'm getting ahead of my self. Let me start at the beginning...

Have you ever been on a web page that had a lot to read? I know I have. Typically, I'll start to read a long post only to find out it's way more than I want to read in a sitting. This results in me either stopping what I'm reading or skipping around, glancing to see what I find of interest in the article.

If only there was some way to easily send that information to my Kindle. On top of that, maybe I could somehow get that information to show up on my Kindle in the same way that books do.

Sure, I could copy and paste the article in a Word document, then convert that to the MOBI format, then copy that to my Kindle, and hope I did everything right so as not to run through those steps all over again. But who wants to do that?

What if there was a way, a simple click, that just sent the important information to my Kindle. What if there was...

A couple of days ago, I happened upon a wonderful application for my web browser. This application, Send to Kindle, allows me to install a plug-in for my web browser that allows me to do exactly what I described above. And it works! The application works within the following browsers:

  • Google Chrome

  • Internet Explorer 9

  • Firefox

  • Safari

I'm sure some of you are on the fence about reading the stories that I have written. For you, I've posted 50% excerpts for you to read at the menu item above called "Ebooks by B.C. Young". But maybe you started to read those stories, and you found it a pain to read within your web browser.

Well now, if you have a Kindle, this application will allow you to send it there to read. So now, you have no excuses!

You can install it for your browser by going to this link:

What do you think? Will this application come in handy for you? Do you think it will get you to read my story excerpts? Sound off in the comments below!
