Creating a Traffic Jam

Since I started getting serious about my blog about a month and a half ago, I’ve seen some good results. The site is averaging around twenty-two hits a day. That doesn’t sound great, but remember, I was only averaging like ten a month before that. My efforts have been good. I use Twitter, Facebook, and other means to drive me to my blog. But I want more traffic!

I happened upon a web site called Novel Publicity. It is a site that does book blog tours for authors. If I could become a part of that community and review books by authors on the blog tour, I could easily garner more traffic. After contacting them, they got back to me with a few questions about my blog. I quickly sent an email back to them with the answers.

A few days later, they contacted me via Twitter to say they were evaluating my blog. Then, within the hour, they emailed me an evaluation of my blog that included how I can improve it. Over the next week or so you will see these suggestions implemented (some already have been).

Currently, I need to get my traffic up to around one-hundred hits a day in order to be a part of the blog tour. This is going to take some work, and that’s where you come in. As a reader of my blog, I appreciate your support. Are you able to suggest my blog to your friends? Do you subscribe to my blog via the RSS feed so you will never miss a post? I would be grateful for any help you can give to help make the blog more popular.

Don’t forget, because I do a monthly blog stats report, you will be able to see if your help is having a positive effect.

I also welcome any suggestions you have to improve the blog. Is there something you would like to see? What interests do you have that would keep you coming back? Please feel free to leave your comments and let me know!
